Album Of The Year5
At first I was torn. Alex's voice is so different. It's pop with minimal punk. So Wrong It's Right was more punk oriented. That being said, the new sound is incredible. It's really catchy, some nice riffs as well. I agree at times it's slightly overproduced, however (Too Much).

Weightless (10/10) - The first single. Great song, the chorus will be stuck in your head for a long time. So catchy.

Break Your Little Heart(10/10) - This is the song that's most comparable to So Wrong It's Right. Pop Punk at its finest. One of my favorites.

Damned If I Do Ya (9/10) - It's a good song, but I'm not sure it's worthy of being the second single.

Lost In Stereo (9/10) - This is the first song where you can REALLY notice Alex's different sound. It's got an amazing beat though.

Stella (10/10) - Another one of my favorites. The lyrics are quirky kind of, but that's part of what makes ATL great. I especially like the part where it slows down in the middle.

Sick Little Games (8/10) - It'd be a good songs for a lot of bands. But it's not one that stands out tremendously, especially on an album this good.

Hello, Brooklyn (10/10) - Another song where the different vocals come in. But the chorus is especially catchy. And the ending where he goes through the cities.

Walls (9/10) - I don't especially like the beginning. Too techno. But the lyrics are great, and he sings with a lot of passion in this song.

Too Much (5/10) - By far the worst song on the album. It's so different, so bleh. Didn't enjoy it at all. Boy bandish almost.

Keep The Change, You Filthy Animal (9/10) - Another song that reminds me of the old ATL. Good beat, etc.

Party Song (8/10) - At first I was in love with this song. But it's too much like so many other songs. Good nonetheless.

Therapy (13/10) - Incredible. By far my favorite song on the album. Maybe ever. The lyrics are great, Alex hits soo many notes, sings with so much passion. It picks up in the middle. A great way to end an amazing album.

All this being said I believe this is the album of the year. From start to finish it beats my other nominees (The Glass Passenger, 21st Century Breakdown). All Time Low keeps getting better, I can't wait to see where they go from here.

There's A Party At The End of the World, So Put This Album On The Playlist5
All Time Low is completely a product of the Pop/punk scene in the early 2000s, taking their name from a New Found Glory song, starting off as a Blink-182 cover band, All Time Low has picked some of the best to look up to. Their early albums had their highlights, but were less than memorable, so listening to "Nothing Personal" it's clear that it's a clear progression for the band. It keeps their same sound, but it's better produced, and thankfully more memorable. "Nothing Personal" is also a product of the times carrying a distinct electronic tinge in parts, but the band uses it to its advantage.

Highlights Include:
Weightless
Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)
Sick Little Games
Walls
Keep The Change, You Filthy Animal
Therapy

Nothing personal, but this isn't the most original album in the world, but it makes up for this by getting the formula right. It's fun, it's catchy, it's danceable, it's rockin', and most of all, it's a great summer album. In fact, I can't point out a weak song on the album. Some are better than others, but they're all good, with some reaching the heights of awesomeness.

Overall, for a genre that's had it's share of ups and downs, mostly downs, during this decade, it's nice to know fans still have a great band to latch onto. If you're a fan of the band, the genre, or you're just looking for this year's summer soundtrack, this is the album for you. If you're hate the genre, this won't change your mind. With "Nothing Personal" All Time Low reaches an all time high.

Real Score: 4.5

Absolutely Amazing5
This album is amazing. I love All Time Low, and all of their CDs. It's a bit out of their genre on some songs, but that was what it is meant to do. It just makes it even better, if possible. All the songs are written so well. It's NOT overproduced. And luckily, like usual, synthesizers are hardly used at all, if you have ears you can tell that much. They really aren't, if you've heard some videos of Alex singing it sounds exactly like in the songs but better and he's doing it with nothing! They can really play their instruments, unlike some bands that produce all their songs on computers and then fake play and sing in performances. And they fit the part of the punk-pop band from Maryland.
How people can sleep at night after dissing this band is something I don't understand. And to people who say they don't write all their songs, WRONG. Alex, lead singer, writes the songs, along with some help from his band mates, Jack, Zack, and Rian. And to people who hate how they aren't ever serious, deal. Having fun is missing from bands these days, most take everything so seriously. I'm glad All Time Low can be the band that's fun, that you'd hang out with because they are always goofing off. And that their performances (one of which I've been to and another I'm going to in a few months) are always one big party, not like with such bands as, for instance, the Jonas Brothers (who I am a big fan of, they just aren't as fun with performances, though), where thousands of preteen to teenage girls just sit and watch the stage singing along just like the song is on the album. I mean, no offense, but who goes to a concert to hear a CD repeated?
And this is pop-punk. It's not near bubblegum pop. It saddens me for anyone to think that. It's just different than what most people are used to in that genre. They are still the same people. But I would never dare to call them just pop. I'm tired of always having to listen to that on the radio, along with some absolutely horribly rap songs. I like Eminem, sometimes, but Jay-Z I really think is annoying. Ugh. And, fortunately, I found something. Something I loved the second I heard it. That had me tracking down their MySpace to hear more, and then rushing to iTunes/Target to buy their CDs.
And do not call them sellouts. No band starts out to not be famous. When they still had a small fan base, they probably did a lot more hanging out with fans for hours. Even though they still pretty much do a lot of that. You had to know this was coming, with their amazing talents. Just because more people like them doesn't mean there are six year old kids listening to this like, well, like with the Jonas Brothers. They still make a big point of how much they love all of you.
And to the haters, do not write bad comments. Do not say bad things about them. They are people with feelings like you. Just because they are famous doesn't make you any less of a jerk for saying bad things about them. Like Alex says, let's stop writing hate comments, not just for them, but for everyone. We need to lose the hate, because it's becoming a world where everyone turns on each other. And by the way, why are you on this page if you don't like the album - Nothing Personal.
People who are looking for an amazing album, pick Nothing Personal up, along with their other CDs, So Wrong It's Right and Put Up or Shut Up. You won't regret it, trust me. Real score: 10 stars. I wouldn't dare to rate the songs because they are all amazing.
