Amazing and valuable meal planning tool for the household
I highly recommend this product for meal planning. I get recipes from my Cooking Light subscription and to avoid piling up the paper around the house, I enter in the recipes by copy/pasting (from the CL website) into this database, including the nutritional info. You do have to manually enter the ingredients, because it's in a database format.

Here are some top reasons to buy:
1: Save all your recipes in one place by customizing your own cook book and recipes in an additional "book" in the database.
2: Once you enter the recipes, you only need to print the recipes you need and recycle that single sheet instead of working with a cumbersome huge cookbook and finding storage space.
3: You can create a custom number of servings automatically with the software. For example, if the serving size is for 4 and you want 10, it will calculate the ingredient amounts.
4: To organize your meals for the week, you can drag and drop your recipes into the planner and then it will create an aggregated shopping list with the amount of each ingredient. I select what I already have and then it only prints a customized shopping list for the week. You do need to spot check.
5: The recipes that come in the software are good for getting started.
6: When you make the recipe, it's easy to make your own notes and adjustments to keep for the future instead of writing all over your books.
