A JET exclusive, the ZX series large spindle bore lathe features a 3-1/8-inch spindle bore supported by two tapered bearings and one ball bearing. The headstock gears are hardened, ground, shaved and composed of chrome molybdenum for optimal durability. The universal gearbox allows inch, metric, diametric, and module pitch threads without changing gears. The carriage features one-shot lubrication for less downtime and more productivity. Bed sliding surfaces are coated with Turcite-B for smooth performance. Five-position, automatic carriage stops bolster production. A T-slotted compound slide features a four-way tool post. A removable gap expands diameter capacity up to 23-5/8 inches. High quality, ANSI Class 50, wear-resistant cast iron bed ways are hardened and ground for durability. A one-piece cast iron base absorbs vibration for heavier cuts. The ZX series also features a 10-inch, 3-jaw chuck with top reversing jaws, a 12-inch, 4-jaw chuck, a 12-inch faceplate, follow rest, steady rest, coolant system w/splash guard, foot brake, work lamp, mounting pads and levers, spindle sleeve, dead and live centers, a tool box and tools.
