Amazon.com Review
Now you can make your own cappuccino or latte without an expensive espresso maker. This set includes a six-cup French press, which many aficionados swear makes the best tasting coffee, along with a battery-powered turbo frother that whips milk into foamy froth. Bonjour's Hugo carafe is made of unbreakable polycarbonate, and comes with a removable, rubberized base, comfort-grip handle, and plastic frame. The patented filter in the lid reduces fine sediment sometimes found in the bottom of a cup of coffee made by the French press method. The stainless-steel plunger, lid, frame, and carafe are dishwasher-safe; with the metal parts removed, the Hugo is microwave-safe.

The Hugo six-cup carafe makes about 24 ounces of coffee, which is more like three cups for most coffee drinkers. Sleek and contemporary, the hand-held frother features a white handle with black cap that unscrews for battery replacement, and a stainless-steel wand and coil. Heating milk before frothing can help increase the foam. Batteries are not included, and the frother wand should be washed by hand. --Ann Bieri

Easy and delicious5
I'm really lazy when it comes to making coffee at home and I've been drinking terrible coffee out of a timer drip machine for awhile, just so it would be ready when I wake up. The extra 5 minutes that it takes to boil the water and wait for the coffee to brew in this press are so worth it that the old machine is gone for good. There is so much flavor using this press, and the coffee is deliciously rich and dark. The frother works in seconds (I warm up my milk first for an easy, kind-of-cheating cappuccino). The carafe is supposed to be unbreakable and the pieces are easy to throw in the dishwasher.

It's not a Bodum!1
I purchased this cute little -- 3 cup -- coffee press a couple of years ago because I make coffee only occasionally. It did make good coffee for a while and then, after several months of intermittent use, coffee grounds began creeping into the coffee. Soon it became evident why: the filter was falling apart. Rather than the sturdy one piece metal and mesh that the Bodum coffee press uses, Bonjour uses plastic, fabric mesh and a silicon gasket. Once the gasket stretches out it will not stay on filter...and I always washed the filter by hand. The plastic container has also been a disappointment. As with most plastic washed in a dishwasher, it has become cloudy and dull looking. Even the spout of the Bonjour is so shallow that pouring a cup of coffee without dripping is impossible. Bottom line: it's a throw-away coffee press. If you like coffee prepared in a press, shop for something better and not that much more expensive.

Not really worth it.2
I purchased this press for camping, and was initially happy with the performance. However, after only a few uses and only hand-washing, the filter started falling apart. The gasket wouldn't stay on, the screen fell out, and eventually the whole assembly fell off of the push-stem. We now have the Bodum 8-cup Stainless Thermal Press Pot and could not be happier with it. It's really worth spending a little extra to get something that lasts.
