Great Product!
Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go - Gray
Twenty dollars is a bargain for this great product. We make frequent road trips with our 4-year-old daughter, who is afraid of the automatic flush toilets at most highway rest stops. This potty replaces a Baby Bjorn potty chair, really meant for indoor use, that took up valuable trunk space and required either myself or my husband to find a discreet location to dump out the pee. The way I see it, here are the best features of this product:
-compact and discreet: you could take this potty just about anywhere with its tasteful carrying case slung over your shoulder without anyone being the wiser. Also, it takes up very little trunk space.
-no expensive or hard-to-find refills to buy: simply keep the bag stocked with 4 gallon trash bags and some disposable nursing pads that can be purchased at any supermarket.
-bag has lots of handy pockets for storing bags and absorbent pads, plus extra room for a package of tissues and some hand sanitizer.
-my daughter loves it and even wants to use it in the house!
If there are any drawbacks to this product, I haven't found them yet! I would have paid twice as much!
Great Potty
Great travel potty - I leave it right in the car to use even in town while shopping. It pops open quickly and really feels sturdy. The seat is close enough to a real toilet seat size that my child feels secure sitting on it and there isn't a problem catching everything.
The carrying bag is useful as a disguise for the toilet and keeps it clean while being tossed around the car. I highly recommend it.
Excellent portable potty!
We had a port-a-potty in the back of our minivan, a camping kind that you fill with deodorizer and water to flush it. Works great but is huge and a pain to empty/clean when full. It was necessary when my 2 girls were younger because they potty trained early (20 months) AND had to go potty constantly.
Now that the emergencies are few and far between, I took out the port-a-potty and replaced it with the Fisher Price Potty on the Go. It is the best invention ever!! I love how you don't have to buy special, expensive refill bags for it- the manufacturer suggests any 4 gallon bag with some sort of pad (nursing or maxi) stuck inside. Even though the directions don't specify, I keep the potty folded in the carry bag with the disposable bag already attached, so all I have to do when we need it is unfold the three legs to prop it up. Easy and convenient! It will come in handy for my third child, whom I expect to potty train this summer.
