Amazon.com
Both original Star Wars fans and those just getting acquainted with the saga will enjoy putting together this replica of a V-Wing fighter from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. This small model is only 8-1/2 inches long and, with 118 pieces, takes just 15 to 30 minutes to construct. It is a good beginner building set for younger kids and also suitable for collectors who aren’t looking for a huge building challenge. The ship features wings that fold in and out and a detachable canopy (although a hinged canopy would be preferable). One Clone V-Wing Pilot minifig comes with the set and fits within the fighter’s cockpit. The manual contains easy-to-follow illustrated instructions and includes a full inventory of all pieces with part numbers in case builders need to order a replacement. --Cristina Vaamonde

The most sturdy of the Lego STAR WARS toys5
My son, who is 5 1/2 is very into Star Wars and therefore, Lego Star Wars toys. He received quite a few as gifts for Christmas. Many of these are beyond his range and therefore were difficult to build, and most frustratingly, fall apart very easily (like the TIE fighter, Clone Walker, and Anakin's ship).

This ship is WONDERFUL for the younger set. My son built it with a little help (the directions are much clearer than on the other SW Lego toys) and was actually able to PLAY with it. If it does come apart a bit, he can usually put it back together himself.

All in all, remember to look at the age ratings Lego gives their toys - they are usually spot-on. However, if you are like me with a son who wants toys he isn't really old enough for, this one is your best bet!

Bravo, a cheap Episode 3 set that is better than most Ep.3 sets.4
Let's face it, most of the Episode 3 sets weren't all that great. Some were, most weren't. Lego decides to end the Episode 3 line right now by introducing a $10 V-Wing. Now you may think that this is not the big bang to end Episode 3, but trust me, this set is better than most Episode 3 sets (quite possibly the best).

The V-Wing was another fighter for the Republic that was produced in mass numbers. I really like the design of the V-Wing because of its sleek shape and blunt nose. If you look at this set head-on, you can tell it will become the TIE Fighter(which it does). This set is surprisingly strong. I dropped it on the floor and nothing broke off. I give Lego points for that. The overall design is accurate to the movie except for one thing: the wings. The wings SHOULD be facing horizontally in landing mode and then vertically in fighting mode. It's only a small error, and you probably wouldn't care about it if you're not a star wars nut like me.

This set comes with one clone pilot and the head of an awesome looking droid. Note that I only said "head", not the whole body, which is really a shame. I would have liked to have the whole astromech. The clone pilot is the same as from the Arc-170.

So there you have it. This is a great set. Plain and simple. It works well and doesn't come at a high price either. This is great for army-building so maybe you should pick up a few. I know I did.

A Must-have!4
If you are a Lego Star Wars maniac like I am or not,the V-wing is a must have! It is a lot of fun to play with and almost NEVER breaks. It comes with a cool clone trooper pilot and an R-7 droid. It has two big wings at the top and four smaller wings at the top and bottom. Both kinds of wings can move. There are also two large blasters and two little blasters. The large blasters are above the little blasters. It is not at all hard to assemble, and if you are new to Legos this is a good one to start off with. The only down part is that the clone pilot does not come with a blaster so you have to add one. But other than that, it is a pretty much all-around good set. I think it is one of the great ones!!
