Fun for your little rock star!
I bought two of these for my 6 year old twin granddaughters. Each girl loves it and sings along with the prerecorded music as well as uses just the mic feature to create their own musical productions. The only problem is if they stand too close to each other there is a very loud screeching feedback sound ... but they think that is funny and sometimes they create that sound on purpose and then giggle into the microphones. They use the mic to produce their own game shows and interviews. Very fair price for a toy that provides very much fun.

Fun but a squealer
We bought this for our 4 year old grandson and he loves it. It's also enjoyed by his 7 year old sister. As others have reported, if the kids yell into it you get the awful feedback squeal. This is not a problem since the grandkids live over 200 miles from us.

Great for those of us who love to buy noisey things for the grandkids that will aggravate their parents. Payback is cool.

fun but loud
My daughter (5) loves this microphone! The songs sound realistic but are a bit loud. It sometimes produces screeching feedback. You can also use it to sing what ever you want without the songs from High School Musical playing. We have only had it for a week, but it seems durable so far.
