Mylar® Ultrahigh-Frequency Driver
The JBL LC1 center channel speaker takes sound into the high-definition world by incorporating an ultrahigh-frequency driver capable of reproducing frequencies out past 40kHz. Why is this important? That’s the realm of high-definition audio and the frequency response of today’s high-resolution sources such as Blu-ray Disc.™ Made of Mylar®, the LC1’s UHF driver is loaded into a patented JBL Bi-Radial® horn so that high frequencies have a wide and uniform dispersion, which means smooth high-frequency sound over a large listening area. And that means the LC1 will deliver a more-realistic sound experience.

Straight-Line Signal Path Networks

JBL, Inc., uses Straight-Line Signal Path™ networks in the LC1 to ensure that the signal from the 5-way binding posts, all the way through to the transducers, is the most-direct signal path possible. 1-Inch Pure-Titanium Tweeter

The JBL LC1 features a 1-inch pure-titanium-dome tweeter; titanium’s strength and light weight make it perfect for quickly and accurately reproducing high frequencies without strain or distortion. this center speaker seems to be an excellent product for the money. very satisfied with the quality also the appearance. sound is excellent.
great speaker
i would buy this speaker over again if i had to. its great it really helps bring my sounds system alive during movies. i would say that its major draw back is that now i want to totally rebuild my system after this amazing center speaker.
