superb!5
just a great game in the COD tradition. i was watching a friend play this game on the 360 with an lcd tv drooling, and thought what will the old xbox version look like on my old crt tv. boy, was i pleasantly surprised. the xbox version is great. graphics are wonderful, just as many reviews have said. play is engrossing. dont give up your old xbox until you play this game. pushes the xbox to its limits and those limits are really good. a definite buy for COD fans. i should say too that i was originally looking for COD3 on the pc, but there wont be a pc version. so i bought it for the xbox, and im not disappointed.

Very pleasing5
I rented this game recently and after the experience I plan on buying it. I've always wanted a long-lasting game that i could wear out--much like my disc of Halo 2. I think that I finally found it.

I beat approximately half of the campaign mode...and well, here is some of what I liked: felt similar to H2 in the way health works, good graphics and sound, the amount of war action on the screen and the way you can charge into battle blindly because of all the smoke, fire, and debris, etc. My biggest complaints are that (on Normal) grenades rarely killed me, my buddies appear to be invincible, grenades are hard to throw accurately.

But where I was really impressed was online. The only annoying thing was how they switched around the button layout. Why do game developers do that? Nonetheless, I love the dynamic and it reminded me of Black Hawk Down. You choose from several kits--medic, scout, rifleman, light/heavy assault, etc.

I was excited to see the Medic, because it was so cool from BHD. But in this game, you get a shotgun instead of a light machine gun, which renders him fairly useless. It also takes some time to revive people (like 2 seconds), which is just enough for a sniper to tap you.

I had the most fun with the scout. He has a scoped weapon for sniping (which is what I enjoy)...but best of all, he can call in Air Strikes. I have never seen this in a game before, but it was awesome. Nothing's cooler than last night when I got like 4 kills off an "air strike" (really its artillery fire)--which also took out an enemy tank. You just look thru some binoculars, mark you target, and in about 2 seconds watch the fireworks.

Intense, but not incredible3
Well, to start out, the game is full of fun action, next to you there might be a German ready to take you down with his rifle in hand to hand combat, one behind a door waiting to shoot you, or a Panzer tank that will blow you to pieces. You get to play as the Americans(favorite), which just completely invade the Germans. The Polish who bring in their armor and blow up the Germans. The Canadians, I can't really say, they just come in with nice supply of troops. But I was upset with the gameplay of the "British" you play more like a special soldier, because you mainly fight with the French guys who die really easily and speak to much French, while your hardcore British ally is arguing with them. You only get to fight as a soldier or command a tank, no boats, no planes, but it is still fun because there is so much chaos, and explosions, tanks, soldiers, air raids, and artillery (this amount of chaos is only put in some levels). The graphics are nice and the details are put in well but they are NOT perfect. However, the movie graphics are amazing and I enjoy watching them, with the option to view movies, guns, vehicles, and characters - which is very nice. Overall the game is fun and historically accurate, even with a few interviews of real soldiers added in. But also the game is short and limited with only 14 levels of playing as 4 different allied soldiers, only in the Battle of Normandy/France... it goes no further. I would recommend buying this game for a cheap price if you can find it.
