Great Addition to the Team
I just bought this game yesterday and played on the new Team Tour feature they introduced for at least 3 hours (I'm a dork, I know, but I couldn't put the controller down). The character creation screen is great, you can create a character to look almost exactly like you, as well as buy clothing and accessories that you may own and wear. They have a few new courses, and a larger number than my previous version of Tiger Wood PGA Tour 03' (of course). This game, although immensely better on the XBOX 360, is a great game for all ages and sports games lovers all the same. It's a game you can pick up at any time and play for a half hour or for hours on end. Highly recommended for ages 10 and up, and great for a pick-up game with your friends. The controls are great and the graphics are phenomenal (The water looks very well refined and presents an amazing mirror image on any hole). If you liked any of the previous games and want to upgrade to the newest one, then $40.00 is a small price to pay for endless fun.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for Xbox
The program is nice and graphics are good except the golf ball is too big. The extensive ability to customize your player is a bit long and over done. The game play is easy and the putting is way too easy, you almost have to try to miss to screw up a put. I rate this program *** out of 5 for that reason. I have another golf program called Links for the Xbox that I like better. It plays much more like real golf and is much more of a challenge so I rate it **** and believe me putting with that program takes some skill. Others have rated Tiger Woods programs with disappointment because they say there aren't that much difference between some of them but since this is the only version I have, I can't respond to that comment and can't down rate the program for that. All in all, it's a good game if you don't have Links to compare it to.
Golf - For Everyone Else
I hate golf. I don't like to watch it, I don't like to play it, I don't even like to hear about it. But from the first time I played a Tiger Woods PGA Tour game I've been hooked. It's game that's fun whether you're playing alone or with your 3 best friends. There are several modes of play, all of which can be played with or without friends. This includes season mode, allowing everyone to earn skill tokens and build up their character. There aren't many ways to earn skill tokens outside of season mode, but there are a couple of modes that allow you to work on your swing and personal (i.e. you as a person, not as a game character) accuracy. Overall, this is a highly addictive game, but with the multiplayer options, it can be one for the whole family.
