You’ll never need another thermometer again, reading in 3-4 seconds, super accurate, and built to last a lifetime. Spendy, but worth it.

The everyday charcoal grill workhorse. Many of Steven Richlin’s rib recipes only call for this basic grill. (you could use the smoker instead, but you’d have add more time)

Now I don’t have one of these, but from what I’ve seen they are really cool. Kind of the best of all worlds in one; the flavor of a charcoal grill, the easy of use and temperature accuracy of a gas grill, and the ability to do really low temps for smoking. They use wood pellets for fuel, which are dispensed by an electronic hopper.

I’ve never used a knife as nice as these. Razor sharp, still holding the edge from the original sharpening 8 months ago. The Elites are ridiculously expensive, but I believe they are actually worth every cent. I will be converting over my entire set to the Shun Elites over time. Side note: you can’t use regular knife sharpeners with these blades, just send them in for free factory sharpening.

A little spendy and not a must. But you tell me that after your chicken falls over using the old school method.

Very similar to Cooks Country, but a little more refined recipe choices. They are both produced by the same publisher, which makes it a more consistent experience if you subscribe to both. I find them to be the perfect compliment to each other.

This card will actually record GPS information and upload all your photos to an online service in real time. It looks and acts just like a regular 4 gig SD memory card, but it also packs wifi capabilities. The first year of wifi service is included, but it’s only like $15 a year after that.

The best game system. Comes in a variety of configurations. Pick the configuration you like best. I'd get the larger hard drive though, if you'd like to watch downloaded pay per view movies on it.

Simply awesome rally racing game, one of my favorites. But on Sept 8 2009, Dirt 2 will be out. So only by dirt 1 if Dirt 2 hasn't launched yet and you're itching to play.

If you want to compete head to head online if family members and friends, you need an XBox live account. only $45 a year. Plus I think it includes some other goodies too.
