released in late 2000 the ps2 quickly destroyed its competition, the dreamcast and n64 with ease. includes a dvd player, ps1 backwards compatibility, and the powerful emotion engine proccessor. the ps2 was redesighned and rereleased in 2005 as the slimline and as of late 2009 is still releasing new games and selling strong, making it possibly the greatest console of all time.
