Amazon.com Review
With its air pump dispenser and touchpad controls, the Micom electric air pot from Zojirushi keeps hot water conveniently at the ready in your home or workspace. The pot’s micro-computerized temperature system regulates heat precisely, first boiling water then keeping it at a steady 208 degrees F for future use. To get water back up to maximum temperature, you just hit the convenient re-boil button. A dechlorinating feature reduces chlorine and musty odors in tap water, and a descaling feature cleans the nonstick interior. A simple lock on the lid helps protect hands, and automatic shut-off prevents boiling dry or overheating. With its 3-liter capacity, the pot takes 29 minutes to boil if you fill it all the way. That’s no speed record, but the all-day convenience does redeem the initial wait. Helpful details include a water-level gauge, a swivel base, a basket-style handle, a removable power cord, and function indicator lights. --Emily Bedard

Customer Reviews

air pump wears out4
We own one for over 6 years now. Love it. Only problem is that because it's mechanical (air pump), that eventually wears out. I think the seal in the pump need replacing. It used to to fill a cup with just one pump, but now takes 10 or more pumps.

Other than that, I love it. I am looking at purchasing a new one, the kind that uses electric pump.

So useful!5
I bought this as a college student tired of having to steal everyone else's hot water. Works great - just fill it, plug it in and forget it! It's virtually silent, and it's great for tea when you're writing essays all night long.

Fabulous little hot water pot!5
We love this pot, and keep hot water available 24 hours--nice to grab that lunchtime soup or late-night cup of camomile tea. It is easy to use (pour in water & plug in) and pour (push down on circle which depresses on top of lid). Great value! This was a surprise appliance in the best possible way--never expeccted to like it so much or use it so constantly on the kitchen counter--good looking too! Jill
