Customer Reviews
I LOVE it.
I picked this up because I drink a fair amount of tea during the work day. I'd brew tea in very large mugs so I wouldn't have to refill as often but then it would be cold about halfway through the cup. I picked this up in the hopes it would solve my 'dilemna' I have been very pleased. I can brew an entire pot of tea and have it stay almost too hot to drink for up to 4 hours or so. Its still acceptably warm for some time after that. The price tag was a bit steep but I'm am very pleased with it and happy I made the purchase
Wonderful for Tea Drinking Homes
An accident involving my stove-top kettle spraying water on my floor and cabinets and me running into the kitchen to stop the high-pitched whistling, slipping and busting my elbow open, caused me to start the search for an electric kettle.
I researched and read many reviews on several websites. Braun, Chef's Choice, Capresso, Cuisinart, you name it, I read it. When I ran across the CucinaPro Tea Spot, I was really impressed that it not only came with a cordless boiling kettle, but included a brewing pot that sits on a warming pad! The brewing pot came with a nice infuser that would be perfect for the loose leaf teas I rarely use due to an infuser ball that's collecting dust. Being one who constantly microwaves her cold cup of tea over a few hours, the warming pad would be perfect for keeping my tea warm and allowing me to pour a little at a time. And the 1.7L electric kettle itself would hold plenty of water for me to make a 1/2 pot of tea for my husband, a cup of hot chocolate for me, and instant oatmeal for my daughter.
After reading what other buyers thought of the kettle, I purchased it two months ago. My husband and I use it everyday. It looks lovely on our counter-top. The kettle is white and has light green accents (the see-through water tank with measurement lines, the switch to boil the water and the light cover that glows orange when in use). The brewing pot is clear with a white lid and handle.
Since we got it, the CucinaPro has worked wonderfully. The electric cord that plugs in the whole unit is plenty long. It's quiet, quick, automatically stops once the water boils and the warming pad keeps your brewing pot of tea warm for over 4 hours. One word of caution is to make sure the lid of the boiling kettle is closed all the way, clicking into place, or the water will continue boiling without shutting off. Also, be sure to follow the instructions on how to get rid of the "plastic" taste that comes with a brand new electric kettle. That is no longer an issue now, but was for the first week.
Overall, we are thrilled with our choice and purchase. It looks to be quite durable so we are looking forward to using it for years to come. Both my husband and I highly recommend the CucinaPro Tea Spot.
Tea Drinkers of the World, Unite!
For too long, tea drinkers have been relegated to second-class hot beverage citizens. Sure, every office will have a coffee pot. Maybe if you're lucky, another pot with hot water that undoutedly carries the aroma or flavor of coffe pots past. We tea drinkers would have to put our tea bags in our mugs, pour hot-but-not-boiling water in and hope for the best. It's easy at home to get your tea the way you like it, but at the office, it's nearly impossible. Ah, enter this lovely product, so obviously designed by someone who actually drinks tea!
The kettle part boils your water quickly. You pour actual boiling water over tea bags or even loose tea leaves in the clever filter into the glass tea pot. After your tea is steeped, it is simple to remove the filter so your tea remains pretty much the strength you like it. Your tea stays hot on the warmer plate all day - not boiling, but a perfect drinking temperature. I'd say that it holds about 6 mugs of tea; probably 8 if you use a cup and saucer. Heaven on Earth has arrived in this clever appliance.
If I were dreaming: Since I keep it on my desk, I wish it had a tiny little cooler attached to hold a pint of milk so I don't have to keep walking to the break room just for a splash of milk. (What, tea drinkers don't want powdered creamer?) And, the kettle is a tiny bit too big to fill in the bathroom sink - I have to go use the big sink. But seriously, these are so minor. I'm am just thrilled to enjoy a perfect cuppa at my desk. Every office break room should have this device and wecome tea drinkers to first class!
