Great Tea Kettle5
I am very pleased with this tea kettle. I was hesitant after I read some reviews that indicated it poured sloppily and dripped. I trust KitchenAid so I bought it anyway. I don't know if these users were trying to pour through the whistle hole or why they had trouble. I open the whistle top over the spout (it has a silicone covered lever) and have had absolutley no problem pouring from this tea kettle. It heats water quickly and pours easily without dripping and has a great warranty. It also comes in great colors!

Buy Oxo Good Grips kettle instead3
I love KitchenAid products, but the performance of this tea kettle is not up to the lofty standards that the company has set for itself.

Positive: It is a beautiful kettle and the enamel coating looks very durable. The silicone grips are a nice touch.

Negative: The whistle is not very loud. It would be easy not to hear the whistle if you are in another room watching TV. The kettle also does not pour the water very well. The water comes out seemingly from all angles of the spout and the kettle has to be turned nearly upside-down to get all the water out.

It is not terrible, but for the same money there are better kettles on the market. Buy the Oxo good grips kettle instead - it is a better product.

Lovely in red5
I've had this kettle for about a year now and it looks so good on my stove. The handle stays cool and I like the little spout lid flipper. No burned fingers removing the whistler as on my old kettle. When pouring water, it does tend to splatter, but I've found if I wait a short time, then pour, that doesn't happen.
