A bit small for adult male.
I am a 20 year old average sized male and This mouth guard was a little bit narrow for my mouth. i really had to bend the sides out after heating it up to fit it around my back teeth. The gel in the mouth guard is very effective and forms well to the teeth.

Great gel, uncomfortable frame
I'm not an athlete. I've never worn a mouth guard before. I'm currently taking kenpo and needed a mouthguard. This one looked fancy and the gel sounded comfortable. I followed all of the instructions and easily got the guard fit for my mouth. When it was all cooled down I tried it on again. The gel conformed perfectly to my mouth, giving a snug fit that felt good. The problem was that the hard plastic outer portion that holds the gel was very uncomfortable to my upper lip in front. I could tell that if I got hit straight on in the mouth my lip would get very bloody very easily. I bought a different guard at a local big box store for less than two dollars just to see if it was my problem or the shock doctor's. The inexpensive mouth guard feels suitably protective, and the front and sides are infinitely more comfortable. I would recommend against this mouth guard.

Not impressed
I have heated and fitted heated and fitted six times...and still can not get a good fit. It does not want to stay in place...and not very comfortable.
