Fun and educational too5
Most kids like bugs. This "toy" lets them pick up bugs easily and then obwerve them and learn from them. This model comes with 2 bug chambers and high-med-low suction. Another model, the turbo bug vac, is not as good as this model.

Good for getting bugs out of the house4
I purchased this not because I was interested in bugs, but because I scream like a little girl and need the help of others to get bugs out if one ends up in the house.

Well, anyway, last night, I had to use it, and it ended much better for both me and the bug. Normally they must die, and someone else must get rid of it, but now I was able to capture it alive and without help. I then deposited it peacefully outside, and we were both able to go about our business.

I didn't bother asking the bug what kind he was, but it was a nasty "little" fellow maybe about an inch long, smaller than a roach though. I wasn't sure if the vacuum would be able to handle it, but it didn't seem to have any issues.

I haven't owned it long enough yet to say how long it will last, but I haven't had any issues so far.

Excellent Cricket Retriever5
As a household with a bearded dragon lizard, this comes in handy chasing those stray crickets that manage to escape.
