From the Manufacturer
adidas is a name that stands for excellence in all sectors of sport around the globe. The vision of company founder Adolf Dassler has become a reality, and his corporate philosophy has been the guiding principle for successor generations. The idea was as simple as it was brilliant: to provide every athlete with the best possible equipment. It all began in 1920, when Adi Dassler made his first shoes using the few materials available after the First World War. Today, the adidas product range extends from shoes, apparel, and accessories for basketball, soccer, fitness and training to adventure, trail and golf.
Customer Reviews
Don't be fazed by the break-in period.
I bought these shoes cold from Amazon, without having tried them on in a store. My intention was to use these shoes primarily for two purposes: playing indoor, hard-court volleyball and playing arcade dancing games such as Dance Dance Revolution.
As far as these uses are concerned, these shoes fit the bill. They are lightweight and have a lot of lateral support. Additionally, the sole is quite grippy (but not unduly sticky), making quick starts and stops easy.
However, these shoes weren't so great out of the box. Honestly, if I had tried them on in a store, I probably wouldn't have bought them. I'm not used to a shoe with a higher heel support, and these shoes rubbed on my achilles heel for about a week before I got used to it. The extreme flatness of the sole (there is NO heel elevation whatsoever) also takes some getting used to, especially if you're used to running shoes with extra heel support. I bought some Dr. Scholls heel supports to ease both of these issues for about the first week or so, and after the first week I was able to remove these without too much discomfort.
In conclusion, these shoes are great for athletic activity where control of movement is essential - volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer (the original purpose of this shoe), etc. However, these shoes may take some time to break in if you're like me and used to shoes with a lower heel support (as are found on most running shoes). If you keep at it, though, these shoes will break in nicely for you and they'll be as comfortable as ever!
Pros:
Style (my white/blacks look very sleek in athletic shorts or jeans!)
Support (lateral movement)
Long-term comfort
Price ($60 is very reasonable for high-performance athletic shoes!)
Cons:
Break-in period (this is why I didn't rate these shoes with 5 stars)
Flatness of heel (takes some getting used to)

Excellent Shoe
These shoes are great. They are very comfortable, and they fit perfectly. They are quite stylish too. They are primarily indoor soccer shoes, but they also work great on artificial turf, so you could use them for just about anything. For soccer, the power and control for kicks and punts is excellent, but it's a tiny bit sacrified because there's no lace guard. The "Samba K" does have a lace guard, but even if it's sacrificed a little bit for the Millennium, you shouldn't really worry about it that much. I use them to play sports for fun, competitively, or for just walking around. For example, I wear them when I have baseball practice indoors, or when I have basketball practice. The shoe works great for both. I almost never slip or slide. They grip very well on the ground. It has Adidas's special "TorSion" system. I don't know what that means exactly but I know that it helps. The only part that you should worry about is that the white stripes along the sides can get dirty easily, but you shouldn't have too much trouble washing it at all. Also this sounds really stupid, but if you wear colored socks that are pulled up high, they actually look OK, unlike other shoes where it looks ugly, but that doesn't matter at all. Anyway, this shoe is a great shoe overall and I would recommend it to anyone.
Sweet shoes
I own both the White and the Black Samba Milleniums. They're very comfortable once they're broken in. They're great for indoor soccer use; but they're also comfy for regular everyday use.
The only gripe is if you buy the white, be careful with them. It's very easy to dirty up the white suede toe area. It's almost impossible to get it clean if you get it dirty. I think the white look very nice but they're difficult to keep clean, so I'd stick to the good old original color (black).
Great looking shoes. Good feel. Decent price.
