Now your Pixel Chix gal can shop and hang out at the Pixel Love 2 Shop Mall, an interactive play environment. This virtual mall has a flip screen that allows your Pixel Chix gal to move between the shops. Seven different input buttons allow for many interactions, including "work," "make money" and "shop." The more your Pixel Chix gal works, the more money she has to spend on all the cool things in the mall.
There are two Pixel Love 2 Shop Malls, each with two shops - a boutique/food court mall (included) and a salon/pet shop mall (sold separately). Connect the malls together so your Pixel Chix girlfriends can hang out or shop together. You can even connect a Pixel Chix house and car (sold separately) to the mall. And when you're done playing, the mall closes up into a stylish handbag-shaped case so girls can take it on the go. Requires 4 "AAA" batteries, included.

Customer Reviews
Well...
Okay, so I'm sixteen years old and I apparently haven't grown up yet, because I bought this toy recommended for girls ages 6-9 on purpose. From the commercials, it seemed really fun. Which, I guess it still is, I just thought that there would be more to it. You see, there are things to buy and I can't figure out what to do after you buy everything they have. I thought that the mall would be just like the house ones, but I guess not. The reviews for the houses have compared this kids game to the Sims, which got me totally excited. Plus, the product description said that it had five levels to play, but the mall games don't, which I didn't find out until after I bought the game. Kids would probably have more fun if they connected the mall game to a house, because if you get just the mall, like I did, there's not much to do. In general, I think that girls would like it. I'm sixteen, and I thought that it would be cool, but I guess that I'm too old to enjoy this game. :( I still give it 5 stars, though.
My kids LOVE this toy
Fun: I have no idea why my girls like it so much. I've played with it a little bit, and find it boring (but, then again, when I was a kid, I would spend hours playing with the hand-held football and pac-man games, and those only had little red lights, not digital people...). My kids spend hours playing with this, take it with them on car trips (even short ones to the grocery store), and fight over who gets it next. I have a 3-year-old and a 7-year-old, and I've had to buy separate Pixel Chix toys for both of them, so that they would stop fighting over the mall/food court. My 3yo takes her Pixel Chix car to bed with her, and sometimes I catch her waking up in the middle of the night to play with it. My 7yo wants more Pixel Chix toys, and chose Pixel Chix as her reward for completing her summer skills activities workbook.
Educational: There's some basic math involved, as you earn money and then spend it shopping, but this is not what I would call an "educational" toy.
Durability: We've had our Pixel Chix mall for about a month, and it's been carried, dragged, dropped, fought over, etc., and is still going strong.
Disappointed niece
I purchased this for my nine year old niece. She was so excited to get it, but it malfunctioned after two weeks! Most of the activities require online interaction. I'm greatly disappointed and so was my broken hearted niece.
