Customer Reviews

Great Ride! Bad Customer Service from Razor4
I bought two of these. The 160 lb. weight limit was very appealing, as I have a 14 year old and 7 year old. It is small...leg length is really for a 5-10 year old. The teenagers love 'em, but their knees are up to their chin. It is so much fun! The kids all took turns and loved the "360" spin when they put on the brake.

Unfortunately, the gears inside the front wheel broke on one of them. After a very frustrating attempt to contact Razor, I contacted Fogdog.com, they immediately offered to have it returned for a refund.

They were easy to put together. Came quickly from Fogdog.com. Other then the NON-Customer service from Razor...these were an excellent purchase.

Not sturdy at all...save your receipt.2
In theory, this is a great toy; however, it is rather poorly constructed for the price. Like many other reviewers here, we had peddles break within a day of use. Also, another plastic piece in the frame assembly broke as well. The front tire is actually a foam type substance, which has also began to wear down. One reviewer mentioned how the bike can easily be fixed, but for $100, I expected more.

I bought the bike through Amazon, so when it broke, I called the Razor company. So far, they were really helpful (I am waiting to recieve the parts from them). Make sure you have your receipts, tho.

If your kids are really hard on their bikes and such, I reccommend buying the Huff Green Machine. My 9 y/o son has had a Huffy Green Machine for 4 years of heavy use, and it is still in good shape (It is a little louder and bigger, tho).

Edit (5/6/09): I received the parts from Razor quickly...I would say the customer service was very helpful.

My 7 year old son absolutely loved this rip rider! We bought it for Christmas and he barely got off of it. It was also the hit of our neighborhood. Unfortunately the mechanism in the pedals stripped after only 1 week of use so we had to return it to Fogdog (who was great to work with). They sent out a replacement immediately so we will see what happens in the next week? I hope this is not a factory defect problem because this is an awesome little toy!
