Worth a try
I have used gripe water for my 2 month old colicy baby. It works like magic! The herbal formula helps her digest her food, as well as relieves pressure from gas. She loves the peppermint taste. As soon as we give her a little gripe water, her crying calms down almost immediately. The ingredients are all natural, so I feel better giving her this rather than the gas relief drops every day. I travel with my bottle of gripe water, as I never know when a crying fit will start. If you are formula feeding, I would also recomend Dr. Brown's bottles, and Enfamil Nutramigen Lipil formula. The combo of these three items works really well.

My first baby screamed for the first four months of her life. When baby #2 started to follow in big sister's footsteps, I hit the internet looking for a cure. In all the reading I did, fennel and ginger seemed to be the #1 recommendation from moms in the trenches. Baby's Bliss has them both, with no sugar and wierd stuff like activated charcoal. So, I ordered my first bottle of Baby's Bliss and waited in a not-so-patiently-with-a-miserable-baby sort of way. After her first dose (she loved the taste, by the way), I rocked her on her side as she sucked on her pacifier. I could feel and HEAR huge gas bubbles popping in her tiny tummy. After about 3 minutes, she was sound asleep! At six months of age, she still gets at least two doses a week. Put this right next to the Mylicon in your diaper bag.

Really works
We love this stuff. I would never give my baby anything else for a tummy ache. We use the preservative free version - yes, there is such thing. I recommend this to every new parent!
