![]() | Graco SnugRider Infant Car Seat Stroller Frame
Buy new: $56.50 I hate travel systems that have every option but the kitchen sink. I wanted something super lightweight, small enough to fit in my trunk, easy to use & inexpensive. The basket underneath isn't huge, which is fine with me because I don't carry a lot junk around. It had enough room for my purse & diaper bag. The parent tray is a plus. This is great until baby wants to sit upright all the time.

![]() | Diaper Dekor Changing Pad with Terry Cover - Natural
Buy new: $18.99 Small, lightweight, goes anywhere, has a safety belt. Can be used on the floor, on a changing table, and you can let the air out to fold it up and take it anywhere - it fits in the diaper bag! The terry cover is soft and easy to remove & wash. My baby would sleep on it if I'd let her. If you only buy one pad, buy this one.

![]() | Playtex BPA Free Drop-Ins Premium Decorated Nurser 4 oz - 3 Pack (Colors Vary)
Buy new: $11.99 Great, simple bottle system. The Drop-Ins are a blessing. You can buy nipples with larger holes as baby eats more. Also, you can buy the Target brand replacement 4 oz liners for about $2.00 per box (100 ct) less than the Playtex brand and there is no discernable difference. The cap works great, too.

![]() | Evenfo Farmyard ExerSaucer Mega
Buy new: $44.99 This is one of the bulkiest items I purchased, but it's so useful I bought 2. I have 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs so I don't have to carry it around the house. The toys are removable & it folds flat so it fits in my small trunk. My daughter loves it. The seat pad comes off easily for washing & the rest can be wiped down with a cloth. You can buy new toys if baby gets tired of the old ones.

![]() | Fisher-Price Rainforest Bouncer
Buy new: $45.00 Baby loves the removable mobile with sounds & lights. My husband, during those night wakings, could rock her back to sleep with his toe. It fits in my trunk to go anywhere. You don't have to get this exact one, just be sure to get one. I bought mine off Craig's List for $40. Fabric pieces can be removed for machine washing. I bought 2 bouncers.

![]() | Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers, Size 2 (12-18 Lbs), Economy Plus Pack, 152 Diapers
Buy new: $40.00 I added these diapers to my list for one reason: the wetness stripe. The yellow stripe turns blue if there is any liquid in the diaper. You don't have to poke or feel or remove clothing to see if baby is wet. Just peek at the stripe. A bit more $ than others, but worth it when you consider that you don't have to rouse your sleeping babe to check her diaper.

![]() | Bumbo Baby Sitter - Blue
Buy new: $35.09 My daughter loves the Bumbo. I have a lavender one with a clear plastic tray. It's lightweight, easy to carry around & travel with, and wipes clean with a damp cloth. Expensive, but worth the money for a safe, portable infant chair.

![]() | Munchkin Soft-Tip Infant Spoon - 6 Pack
Buy new: $4.49 Long handle lets you scrape the bottom of the jar, stands up to a teething baby and repeated dishwasher cycles, inexpensive, and best of all they are molded as one piece so there are no small crevices for food particles to get stuck (less cleaning time). Baby loves the bright colors, too, making her more receptive to spoon-feeding.
|
![]() | All-Purpose Disposable Ear/Ulcer Syringe - 3 oz
Buy new: $2.25 This is close to the hospital grade ones. I tried the ones made just for babies that are sold in the stores in the baby section, but they have no suction power. If the hospital didn't give you one or you need a replacement, get this type. The others are useless.

![]() | Johnsons Baby Powder with Aloe & Vitamin E Pure Cornstarch, #3059 - 22 Oz
Buy new: $4.85 I tried A&D, Desitin, and air-drying (what a mess!) for over a week and none worked to heal her diaper rash. My husband talked me into trying this. I didn't want to at first because of the warnings about baby powder getting into tiny lungs, but this cleared up her rash in a couple days. Squirt the powder on the new diaper, away from the baby, and then place her on the diaper.

![]() | The First Years Close & Secure Sleeper
Buy new: $36.00 Awesome for the first 2 months. It took us 2 months to convince my daughter to sleep without us so this was the best, safest solution in the meantime. The light was useful when I had those Mom-moments and had to check that she was still breathing. Only good for babies up to 24" long, tho. And squirmers, like mine, need to be respositioned sometimes. Compact, folds up, with carrying handle.
