Nice weightlifting shoe!
Well I use these for weightlifting and they perform well. They are completely flat so it gives my feet a very stable resting place when performing squats, deadlifts and other heavy movements. Also a side benefit is that it saves my other shoes from taking the beating making them last much longer since soft shoes wear out very easy under heavy stress.

I highly recommend this shoe for lifting.

GOOD GRIEF! I AM "TRENDY."
I am one of the last people on earth that you would point out as being "trendy." Alas, as I shuffled into the local coffee shop the other day a lady, whom I have known for some time, commented on my "trendy" sneakers. I was crushed. These particular sneakers, Converse All Stars, and I go way, way back. When I first started wearing them you could buy a pair for around three or four dollars. I got one new pair a year. They were neat because if my foot grew too much in a given year, it was quite easy to make a slit in the two with my pocket knife and the shoes would fit just fine.

I still wear these things and in fact buy a couple of pair a year. I find them absolutely the ideal shoe to wear when creek wading; a hobby of mine for many years now. They are comfortable, they dry fast, you can wash them, they don't fall apart, they don't get stiff like leather uppers do, they have high tops so it is much more difficult to get sand and mud in them, if you blister them around a camp fire they smell like burned rubber and that gives you plenty of warning of impending disaster, and now I find they are "trendy." I ask you, what more could you want? I have also found them the ideal shoe to wear in the weight room at the local gym as they have nice flat bottoms which are quite stable. Again, what more could you ask?

I have yet to own a pair of these shoes that did not fit perfectly the first time I wore them and they require absolutely no break-in time. You can wear them with or without socks and as they are "trendy" you have no worries of looking like an absolute dork, with or without socks. After all, the fish, crawdads, frogs and critters really have little to say when it comes to fashion I have noted.

I do wish they did not cost as much as they do, but when you think of the use you get out of the things, it is actually a bargain. Actually, when I think about it, I quite well may ask to be buried in a pair of these things. I have several pair of shoes and quite a number of boots that I paid well into the hundreds for, and truth be told they are not half as comfortable as these Converse and if I am going to spend that much time in any shoe, they might as well feel good.
