Customer Reviews
And oldie, but a goodie...
I've been wearing this style of shoe for well over a decade now. (I remember when it used to be called the "Classic Hi-Top".) I'm the kind of person that it's very hard for me to find shoes that fit comfortably: very flat-footed which causes my ankles to be positioned a bit differently (most low-top shoes rub or dig into my ankles), so when I find a shoe I like, I tend to stick with it. They last about a year of daily wear, then can last about another year being worn for grungy tasks like mowing or painting.
Very comfortable shoe
This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The high top really supports your ankle and the shoe itself is form fitting and not one of those big bulkly tennis shoes. It's light weight and flexilble, but still supportive. Well worth $30.
style,comfort,and support
Ive been wearing this shoe for over 20yrs now. A Dr. steered me onto this shoe after a bone graft from a past crushed ankle. He made me wear them for a year with a brace. They use to be sold in sporting stores and department stores and were very expensive and now it is very hard to find them even by special order. Other women come up to me and ask where I got my shoes as they are looking for the ankle support too. My daughters work on their feet all day- they were not allowed to wear tennis shoes to work- but management oked these shoes. If I go 1 day without them the next day I am with a cane as my ankle pains me to walk. Do to the sleek style you can wear a long dress with them and they also look nice with slacks or shorts too. They not only have support they are comfortable. I cant say enough good things about them. I buy 2 pair black and 2 pair white every 2 yrs. They last for a yr for daily wear looking nice and then you can retire them to yardwork etc and get another yr out of them. I use to get them wet and the only thing that happened was I got a few black toes out of it. They are very durable. At one time they were called the walking shoe-- then the classic shoe. Now their a freestyle. I cant wait to try them in other colors now. I have tried reebok stylish boots but there hasnt been a shoe on the market for 20yrs that gives me the comfort and support these do. I wear them everyday and with everything anywhere. Im so very glad to find them again. The last ones I bought came from the factory in 2006. Their ready to retire to just outdoors with lots of good still in them.
