Customer Reviews

Buying a new one!5
We have had the older version of this car seat for over 2 years. Have been nothing but pleased. As for the strap adjustment requiring a screwdriver, not so, just move the cover squeeze the tabs and slide them up and down (this is for the old version). The new one you don't even have to do that. We are replacing our older ones because the new version will hold our tall toddler for much longer. Also, this car seat protected our son when we were hit by a semi. Totaled the car but he came out without a scratch.

I just bought my second one...5
The DLX and LX are both excellent car seats. My priorites for my newborn were safety, comfort, ease of use, and attractiveness. I reviewed ratings of carseats everywhere I could find them (including Consumer Reports); this is definitley high-rated for safety. I can personally attest to the excellent quality fabrics: the seat is plush and looks/feels more luxurious for the price than you would think. My daughter always gets sleepy in this seat. It's easy enough to install (as far as car seat goes) and simple to adjust as your child grows - my daughter is now 18 mo and I just bought my second one for another car. I think it' an LX but I honestly can't tell the difference. And parents luck out because there's none of that "baby" print. It's a very attractive car seat. Consider all priorites checked with this one.

Nice seat4
I just purchased this seat for my 15 month old because of the high ratings from Consumer Reports and it appeared to be very well padded for comfort. The seat was pretty easy to install. I did read some of the other reviews and you don't have to unscrew the back in order to adjust the height of the straps, you just lift the cloth seat cover and adjust the straps in the front, pretty simple. The only thing that I'm not too thrilled about is the release mechanism that you use to loosen the straps when getting the child out of the seat. Sometimes it works just fine, other times it seems to stick a bit, hopefully this won't be a major problem the longer we use the seat. All in all I think it's a very nice seat and it's one of the safest.
