Gentle motion, lots of visuals which keep baby fascinated and the music is very pleasant for a background. They run for 15 minutes which is time enough for a shower or quick meal and this has been a godsend for times when I'm home alone without anyone to watch baby and need a few minutes to get something important done. It also stops crying right in its tracks every time without fail.

Marvellous for distracting very young babies, for the first five or six weeks (which included a couple of weeks of pretty bad colic) it drew her attention right away from whatever was bothering her. Drawback is it's clockwork and only runs for about two minutes so you have to keep rewinding it but even two minutes is enough for a diaper change or to warm a bottle.

Buy new: $69.99 I thought at first the action was a bit fast but baby seems to enjoy it. The music is a bit tinny but keep it at low volume and it's not too annoying. The mobile is actually a toy bar so it's not overly distracting and she will go right to sleep in the swing if she's a bit tired.

Buy new: $21.00 This has been an integral part of helping baby get into a routine and a deep enough sleep to last through the night. The selction of sounds is great (classical, lullaby and rainforest sound options with 3 volume settings) and the lights give her something to focus on without being over stimulating. Best $20 I ever spent!
