Fantastic swing - a real lifesaver!
After researching all the swings out there, we decided to register for this one based on other parent reviews and online consumer reviews. First of all, this swing is safe and sturdy and will accomodate our son as he grows. Second - it is great for newborns since it will recline to a size-appropriate position. Third - it is attractive and has great sound for such a small box and plays a wide variety of sounds. It runs on batteries (I would not want a cord to an electric outlet for safety reasons anyway), but if you are a smart parent you'll invest in a good battery recharger, rechargeable batteries and a back up set for all the toys that run on batteries anyway.
This swing is a lifesaver because it keeps the baby in motion without you having to rock in a rocking chair, so you have time to do other things (like wash the endless bottles). My 8-week old son loves the swing so much he actually sleeps for 2-3 hours in it!

Good hug...
Good swing. Actually holds my newborn comfortably, 'like a hug' and has three other positions that my daughter can grow into. She was 8lbs when born, so I was happy that the swing will hold up to 30lbs or so. The music selection is good, but it is a little fuzzy. The nature sounds are hard to distinguish. The swing was very easy to put together. My advice is to NOT put the tray on when you first put the swing together, and wait until you need it. It is in the way when putting a new baby in and it is not as easy to open as the ad says it is.

WONDERFUL SWING!!!
This swing has been a LIFESAVER with my newborn son! He has acid reflux and spends a LOT of time in his swing. It was really easy and fast to put together. The swing has a lot of really convenient features such as the one handed reclining feature, the buttons that fold the swing in so it is easily moved, the extra large and comfy seat (will get longer use) and the wide array of music and nature sounds. We have gotten really good battery milage out of this as well! Our son was in the swing for probably 28 hours over the last two weeks, and we have not had to change the batteries yet! Highly recomended!
