Customer Reviews

Do not buy1
We bought the Baby Trend based on its high rating in Consumer Reports. We didn't do any online reviews research, only to find out we encountered all the same problems as others have.

As other reviewers on Amazon have noted on the Mess design, the car seat handle is super difficult to fold down. Even more challenging is the way the straps buckle - you have to place them side by side and try to slide them in together at the same time, which can require several attempts and always requires two hands.

The worst part is the stroller. It doesn't maneuver well and the wheels (which are very poor quality) don't lock. It's a pain to try and break down. After reading the entire manual the most effective way is to unlock the handle and bend all the way down with it - not easy for someone recovering from delivery and/or carrying heavy things (like a baby).

We returned this product due to its poor quality and difficulty of use. We went with the Chicco Cortina instead.

Great!!!5
We have not gotten to use the carseat or stroller officially (as our baby is due May 23), but it seems safe and secure. The carseat is extremely light, and I really like the triangular carrying handle. I wanted to buy a Chicco travel combo, but finally decided that the heaviness of the carseat was not worth it -- and now I'm glad I didn't. I actually purchased (and returned) several various carseat/stroller combos, and I'm finally happy with this one! Also, I am very pleased with the looks of the Skylar set; it's cute and can go for either gender.
