Rugged
It's been several years since I've used a drive this slow--3 to 4 times slower than retractable drives by Sandisk and Transcend or Kingston's non-retractable DataTraveler and DT1 series. On the other hand, the Kingston 110 has proven to be a rugged drive--it stays on your key chain, and the USB connector stays anchored when in locked position (a problem with Transcend retractables). A slight drawback of the stubby design of the 110 is that its width could prevent it from gaining access to closely crowded USB ports. Even though the retractable Sandisk Titanium is unpopular with some users because of its space-robbing proprietary program and alleged Apple unfriendliness, it's been the best retractable flash drive in my experience, even with a Mac. Moreover, given its materials and design (the 110 doesn't even have illumination), it's clearly the value play among these little wonders.
great datatraveler product
The kingston 4gb datatraveler is a great product. Easy to use, convenient to travel with, holds an abundence of data and pictures. I would highly recommend this item. In fact I bought two of them myself.
slow. like a sleeping turtle. or a sleeping anything.
This flash drive is hideously, ridiculously, slow. It's taking me several times as long to put 2 gb of stuff on this flash drive as it did to put 8 gb on another flash drive I've got.
