How did i survive before i discovered cake mascara? This mascara is so inexpensive. It provides beautiful lashes and the brush makes it easy to hit every one. Plus i dont know if its because of the liquid binder in regular mascara but you know it gets cakey and flakey no matter what they promise us. BUT since the liquid used w/ cake mascara is just water - it seems to eliminate
the flakes that occur normally as the day progresses and the mascara ages.
This is great stuff and for $5.00 - worth every penny and then some.

I bought this recently after reading about airline restrictions on many cosmetic products including mascara. I read an article that said cake mascara would be permitted. So, I found this and tried it. It did take some getting used to how to apply it, but the results are amazing. I do love that you can wash the brush after each use keeping it clean and sanitary for the next day. If you have sensitive eyes this is a huge plus. It does last forever too. I think this will be a regular staple in my makeup bag. One trick is to use your hair dryer to warm up eyelash curler but not too warm and curl lashes then use the cake mascara. The results are hollywood redcarpet ready. I think this could be the new trend revisited in mascara unwittingly thanks to the airline carryon restrictions. It's the best thing in mascara and the value is more than worth giving it a try. You'll love it too!

Really great mascara.
This is neat stuff. I would definitely buy it again. I like the fact that the cake doesn't go bad, so you always have mascara. For that reason, I plan to keep one in my travel bag. It's the most natural looking mascara I've ever used, but still enough that it makes a difference on the lashes. To apply, you wet the brush and pick up some of the product, then simply apply to your lashes. I really like the look, but I plan to experiment with some better quality brushes to see if I can get an even better result. The black is a very jet black, not soft at all, so if you're concerned that it may be too harsh for you, try the brown. I'm not sure how dark the brown is because I haven't tried it yet, but I intend to purchase it eventually. I also like that it washes off really easily. You can get it off with warm water, no eye makeup remover is even necessary. If you like trying new mascaras, this would be a fun one to have.

My only complaint is that the current vendor, American Discount Beauty, has very poor service. Their shipping is painfully slow when you consider the cost. It took about three weeks for my mascara to arrive. That was a disappointment. I really liked them when I started ordering from them back in about 2000, but their service isn't what it used to be. When I inquired via email about the delay, they never responded. The package did arrive later that day, but a quick message would have been professional and appreciated. So I loved the product, but not the merchant. It would be really great it someone else offered it. Still, if you are willing to wait, order it!
