Good action but...
...as the previous reviewer wrote already, if you slip a disc, the hook and loop runs down pretty quick. I've had the sander for six months and have to replace the pad already. At $20 per pad (after mailing because Home Depot stinks insofar as replacement parts go)the seemingly good value paid for the sander goes out the window real fast. I advise people looking for a random orbit sander to check out the other manufacturers for both cost and availability of replacement pads. The fiber hooks in the pads make it a breeze to replace discs but they're far to fragile for day-in and day-out use unless the replacement parts are inexpensive and close at hand.

Ridgid and Porter Cable Sander Pads
Sander pads were as advertised, bought to replace worn out hook and loop pad and to try using the adhesive pads for both porter Cable and Ridgid sanders. Adhesive pads are cheaper to buy, but I still favor the hook and loop, they stick to the pad better and can be replaced faster/easier.

Wore out the hook and loop, I think my helper sanded the patio cover after the hook and loop sandpaper came off the sander. Sanding a little with hook and loop will destroy it pretty fast, he destroyed H&L pads for both Ridgid and PC sanders.

New sander pads are great, work well with either type of sandpaper, H&L or adhesive.

When my sander decided to stop holding the velcro sheets during the middle of a kitchen remodel, I thought I was going to have to spring for a new sander but decided to try to order a replacement pad anyway. The pad arrived before I could even make it to the BORG to buy one.
