Sperry Top-Sider Gold Cup
I have purchased Sperry Top-Sider Deck Shoes for over 40 years and these are the best deck shoes I have owned. They are extremely confortable and the first time I wore them my foot molded to the shoe. It was not necessary for a break-in period like most shoes.

Sperry deck shoe
I brought a pair of these shoes while in the States three years ago. They are simply the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The memory cushion inner provides support and impact resistance either with or without socks.After three years of constant wear during evenings and week ends both on and off boats the only sign of wear was to the inner lining. I would recommend them to anyone.

These are generally comfortable shoes but, unfortunately, they simply do not hold up under normal wear. The inner lining and collar had large holes worn into it within 9 months of purchase, with foam pushing out through the holes in the collar. Also, the insoles have a tendency to adhere to your feet -- quite uncomfortable -- when worn without socks. For the price, they simply are not worth the cost, not for half the price, for that matter. Apparently, long gone is the day when Sperry's shoes could be counted on for their quality and durability, and since their warranty only covers "manufacturing defects", and the problem with these is poorly chosen materials, you will not get any satisfaction by attempting to return them.
