You might reconsider buying a Thompson freinds.....
I am sorry to report that the current Thompson Bibles are GARBAGE compared to the older ones. I want to WARN you that if you buy this bible you will get cheap cheap paper, faded print, and see through words from the other pages. And what is worst of all the words of Christ printed in red are a dull FADED red that is very hard to read.
In short, if you want to buy a nice bible get an Oxford or Cambridge one.
I want to say that I am not bashing the chain references or study guides...just the quality of the Bibles Kirbrige is making now.
Great content, trash binding and paper
I am sure that most of you don't need a run down on the Thompson Chain material. That is five stars all the way. My concern is Kirkbride Publishers. I had to return two bibles with the same defect. The pages in both the front and back(the thick heavy paper) were seperating from the binding and showing the adhesive meshing that holds the bible together itself. Finally, the third one was good. I must sadly admit I have one that belonged to my mother which is 41 years old and will last longer than my new one. Besides the horrendous binding, the paper is so thin that when you turn pages you'll notice pages getting folded with creases that will not come out after it's too late. I have had my bible for a week, and the pages look like they have been used for a year. Kirkbride, your ears should be burning because this is not a positive review. And the nerve to print that centennial edition with this garbage you call a premium bible. Dr. Thompson and Mr.Kirkbride would be appalled with what you have done to their bible. They will never know it, but you all will answer to God one day as to why you treated His Holy Word as common. Not to mention my genuine leather levant grain is cheap and surely not worth $94.00 and tax that I paid. Shame, shame, shame on you Kirkbride.
