About the Author
Brenda Joyner has over twenty years experience as a program manager, having worked for large corporations such as AT&T, Control Data and Fidelity Investments. She faced her biggest project challenge ever when her husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease, a form of lymphatic cancer. She drew on her professional experience to manage the many aspects of chemo and radiation treatments her husband underwent, looking to optimize the chance for win over cancer. She became her husband's Personal Advocate, a partner in the course of diagnoses and treatments.
After her husband's cancer was conquered, and realizing that, despite the wealth of information that can be gathered searching through the Internet and caregivers offices, there was no single source of practical information for the Personal Advocate, she collected the knowledge gained and wrote Chemo Sabe.
Brenda is a five year survivor of breast cancer. She and her husband live in Virginia.
