About the Author
After 20 years in the field of crime fighting as a local police officer and FBI Special Agent, Dr. Green joined the faculty of the FBI Academy where he serves as the Chief of FBI Leadership Development. Dr. Green leads a faculty of professional educators who teach in a variety of venues at the Academy and throughout the world. He also oversees numerous leadership initiatives and programs including the FBI's University Education Program. Dr. Green still tries to find the time to guest teach in the FBI National Academy as well as a host of other domestic and international venues. Dr. Green also serves on the adjunct faculty of the University of Virginia and Capella University. Having earned his doctorate in an online environment and having taught for years in both face to face and web-based settings, Dr. Green is uniquely positioned to share invaluable insights and experiences concerning the world of online higher education.

If you are thinking about going back to school or have just started back - READ THIS BOOK! Dr. Green has managed to provide the information needed for anyone to navigate a graduate program, but is honest about what it takes, what you will need to do, and how rewarding it will be. Dr. Green's conversational style of writing is impressive. You feel as if you are having a casual talk with a friend but end up feeling motivated by a mentor. I have gone back to school once and now thinking of doing it again. This book will serve as a reference for my new endeavor and continued motivation.
