Author's Commentary5
With the declining number of priests in the Catholic Church, the non-ordained who are filling the many ministries of the Church are challenged by the author to continue to fulfill their vocation as members of the priesthood of the faithful ... a concept found in scripture and in Vatican II. Recognition and furtherance of their ministries are essential if the Church is to thrive. By their baptism, all Christians are invited to work toward unity.
