Customer Reviews
There is a new Marshal in town.
Jesse may be young but he is fast with those Remingtons and strong enough to wear the badge of a Marshal.
Charlie MacNeil brings you the first in what I am sure will be a series of Deputy stories and introduces us to some rich characters and one dang good story. He is now to be ranked as one of the newest storytellers in town. If you like westerns, this book is for you. If you like action, this book is for you. Finally, if you like love stories, this book is for you.
So don't just sit there and read my review or a sample page, buy this book and sit back open the pages and get lost in the west while your coffee gets cold.

On the Owl-hoot trail
If you count tales of cowboys and justice among your reading interests, you'll want to acquire a copy of "Complications." It is interspersed with gun battles, fist fights, double crosses, and plans for revenge. Then there is the positive side in which the dedicated deputy goes against all odds to bring in the bad guys. When there is time to consider such things, you'll find the weather inclimate, the girls beautiful, the criminals viscious, and the sleeping arrangements out in the boonies uncomfortable. But the plot advances steadily with one complication after another - sometimes for the good guys, who are not necessarily all good and often for the bad guys who are not necessarily all bad. This is the owl-hoot trail adventure, pretty much at its best.
Great Story and Easy Reading
The book was very entertaining and easy to read. I especially liked the latter part of the book involving the old ghost town. I would definitely consider purchasing another of this author's books when it becomes available.
