Full of esoteric healing methods, Inner Child Cards Workbook shows us how make life choices by gleaning wisdom from our favorite fairy tales. Lerner examines the deeper mystical symbolism behind each of the fairy tales--relating Beauty and the Beast to unconditional love, Jack and the Beanstalk to initiation and growth, and The Emperor's New Clothes to today's political crises. These stories offer "a food that nourishes both the spiritual and mundane components of life."
Specific visualizations and affirmations correspond to each of the major arcana cards, and new layouts and divination methods for use with her Inner Child Cards deck will allow those who are familiar with it to build on previous knowledge. This beautiful guidebook offers a personal, therapeutic journey through fairy-tale symbolism that is a perfect accompaniment to the Inner Child Cards.

Questions, Affirmations, and More Ways to Use Fairy Tales 4
Personal transformation. I bought this book because I wanted to really learn how to give a reading with the Inner Child Cards but I found it to be helpful in my path of personal transformation. I use these cards as additional or as clarification cards in a reading.
Chapter I: The Feminine in Fairy Tales
Both good and evil characters in fairy tales are ultimately good
The Feminine Nature of Fairy Tales
Each Character is a different aspect of our own psyche
Chapter 2: Initiation, Enchantment and Awakening
Initiation: Corresponding to Alchemical Stage of Melanois
Enchantment: Corresponding to Alchemical Stage of Leukosis
Awakening: Corresponding to Alchemical State of Xanthosis and Iosis
Chapter 3: The Archetypes of the Soul and Karmic Imprints
Chapter 4: Fairy Tale Mysticism and the Major Arcana
Chapter 5: Mirrors to Humanity
Chapter 6: Additional ways to use the Inner Child Cards (this section includes Past Life Regression, Dreamwork and even how to use the cards in playing Rummy).
Chapter 7: New Layouts (includes 4 new spreads)
Chapter 8: The 22 Major Arcana Cards (gives the traditional meaning of the cards, the inner child meaning of the cards and questions and affirmations). I found the questions to be helpful in my own journal work. I loved using the affirmations daily.
Chapter 9: The Minor Arcana (same as chapter 8, gives traditional meaning, inner child meaning and questions and affirmations for each card).
For me personally, I liked this book because it helps you learn fairy-tales (knowledge I was lacking somehow - and I enjoyed learning how fairy tales represent each lesson we learn in life, how it is a mirror of who we are, and others around us). I found the readings to be accurate in describing what I've gone through in life and how I did meet these fairy tale characters along my path. I enjoyed answering the questions it presents for each card and the affirmations are very nice. The book is well written and packed with information.
Creative and insightful companion book to the Inner Child Cards
This is a wonderful book! Even if you already own the original Inner Child Cards book by Isha Lerner and Mark Lerner, you will not want to miss out on this one. Isha Lerner's Inner Child Cards Workbook provides insightful, NEW material that expands on the teachings found in the original Inner Child Cards book. The first third of this workbook is devoted to insightful teachings on fairy tales, the tarot and alchemy, plus two chapters devoted to new layouts and additinal uses for the cards. The rest of the book is devoted to the individual cards, providing discussion on the traditional meaning of each card, the fairy-tale lore associated with each of them, and a lisitng of keyword associations. Additionally, Isha Lerner provides three questions for each card that encourage the reader to explore their meanings further on a more personal level, and to take into consideration possible courses of action. The major arcana are provided with affirmation statements as well. All in all, a great resource!
For the young at heart
I really love the cards & the book is huge, packed full of
information, needless to say I've not been able to read it
all but what I've read I found most helpful.
The cards are extremely big and would probably be a problem
for people with small hands, I remind myself to be attentive
when I shuffle but otherwise they are great.
