In 2000, Ilchi Lee's Healing Society (Hampton Roads, 2000) ignited a movement across the world for Healing Society in Action, whose participants taught holistic health to elders and children, held conferences to promote peace. Healing Society introduced thousands of readers to Dahnhak, Brain Respiration, and Lee's revolutionary perspective on mass enlightenment.
In Human Technology, Lee now offers you his essential teachings distilled from a lifetime of study. Lee presents a toolkit for self-reliance management of the core issues of life: health, sexuality, and life purpose. Meditation, breath-work, and Oriental healing arts are offered as self-reliant health management skills. A distinctive perspective on sex and sex education and an inspirational guide to discover a passionate life purpose are featured. This book also includes a practical guide to optimize our life's master controller--the brain.
In the name of comfort and security, we have created increasingly complex systems that demand our lives for their maintenance. Systems cannot answer life's most important questions--only you can. The ultimate goal of education, institutions, and expertise should be self-education. Only then will technology serve humanity rather than reign over us. Human Technology contains the principles and tools that can return us to self-mastery and the life well lived.

Review
Mind-body harmony is the focus of this informative health audio from a Korean practitioner and author of many books on integrative medicine. The type of mind-body medicine explained combines elements of energy sensitivity, meditative practice, breathing and relaxation techniques, and Eastern medical principles. The author wants people to become more proactive in their health care and more healthy and authentic in their approach to living, rather than passively relying on medical experts and short-term chemical fixes to our problems. Though many of the approaches described here will sound unorthodox to Western listeners, they might have been more accessible and useful if Franklin Belew's flat narration had not drained the life out of these words. Healing yourself, your family, your society
In elegantly simple language, Dr. Lee reminds the reader "We carry a deep wish to create a healthier, happier and more peaceful society. I believe in the power of that wish. I believe that the people who nurture this wish by the choices and actions that stem from their courageous insights make history." Dr. Lee continues to strengthen this vision of a healthy society with assessable tools and insights into authentic living. He maintains that good health needs daily attention. Purposeful living needs a clear vision supported through action. Sexuality needs to be a responsible connection between two mature people. All of these elements are intertwined into the weave of authentic life.
The tools offered in this volume are easy to understand yet grounded in deep principles. Dr Lee has the facility of knowing what information is pertinent to the issues and getting right to the point. And as in his other books, Dr Lee's compassion and love for all of humanity shines thorough out this important work. I recommend it highly for anyone interested in living consciously, conscientiously, consistently and compassionately.
Self help for healthy living
I have many of Dr. Ilchi Lee's books and find this one very easy reading. I give it as a gift to friends and family who want to improve their health and life style. It has been very well received and most are using it as a daily guide to improve their life style.
I highly recommend it as an introduction into authentic living for beginners.
Human Technology
I feel that this book REALLY is a toolkit into healing your family. I have applied so many of the suggestions that Dr. Lee makes in this paticular book towards my own two children. It has helped me slowing down and really listening to myself and my family and why we are together as well bringing peace and harmony to our home. Most importantly, I have realized that in healing myself first, then apply what I have learned and experienced to my family, I can now bring out into the world in the help in creating World Peace. Thank you Dr. Lee for the wisdom you share with the world. The gift you have shared with us in this book is quite simple but yet very powerful. A MUST read for all and their families.
