![]() | Stop Working...Start Living : How I retired at 36 without winning the lottery by Dianne Nahirny
Buy used from: $21.80 To invest, most people need first to learn to save money. The authors motto is "before you buy first see if you can beg, borrow or do without."
She goes a bit too far when she suggests saving foam meat trays (used for packaging bloody cuts of meat) for insulating your attic.
She suggests buying things that will appreciate, real estate, silver rounds, quality antique jewelry and watches.

![]() | The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley
Buy new: $10.20 / Used from: $0.91 You want to be a millionaire? Read this book.
It will tell you what and who millionaires really are. It makes clear most millionaires are just your average couple next door. They don't buy a new car every three years, they don't have a thirty foot boat at the marina, they don't spend money like its going out of style.
Millionaires are frugal, save their money and spend it judiciously.

Buy new: $10.20 / Used from: $7.00 Excellent advice on how to find good companies.
Not as clear as it could be, is made up for by author that answers questions at his website.
I don't agree with his timing system, but is a good way to decide when to get into a stock.
