![]() | Belly-bar, Crunchy Nuts & Berries, 1.59 Ounce Bars (Pack of 12)
Buy new: $23.63 I absolutely love these bars! They are really delicious, and carry the vitamin equivalent of a prenatal, including the DHA. Plus, they go down very easily during the 'morning sickness' phase, while my prenatal vitamins tended to come right back up. Crunchy Nuts & Berries is my favorite, with sweet blueberries, etc. in them. I even packed a few into my labor bag!

![]() | Rainbow Light Just Once Prenatal One Multivitamin Tablets, 90-Count Bottle
Buy new: $15.69 I tried about 5 different types of prenatal vitamins, and kept throwing up or getting heartburn from them. The Rainbow Light was advertised as gentle on the stomach, so I tried it out. Am I ever glad that I did! I can take these easily without getting sick - I have even taken them on an empty stomach with no problems. They're wonderful!

![]() | The Expectant Father: Facts, Tips and Advice for Dads-to-Be, Second Edition by Armin A. Brott
Buy new: $8.60 / Used from: $0.01 The only baby book I managed to get my husband to read. I tried the dry ones and the funny ones, but this one had a balance of both medical info and humor that worked.

![]() | Your Pregnancy Day by Day: Watch Your Baby Grow as You Enjoy a Healthy Pregnancy by Stuart Campbell
Buy new: $12.89 / Used from: $0.80 Not a necessity, but I looked at it throughout my pregnancy. For each day of your pregnancy, there is an ultrasound picture of what your baby looks like, along with a little paragraph about his/her development. Each week, there is a summary of baby's size and measurements. It's cute, informative, and interesting.

![]() | Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Newborn: The Complete Guide by Penny Simkin
Buy new: $10.80 / Used from: $2.37 This book recommended by my OB/GYN. It has a lot of knowledge, I read it pretty much from cover to cover.

![]() | Hand Exercisers - Eggsercizer - Standard Size - 1 each
Buy new: $8.34 'What does this have to do with my pregnancy?' you wonder. Well, I got carpal tunnel syndrome in my 2nd trimester; it is very common during pregnancy. I would wake up from a night of sleep with sore hands (and puffy feet, sigh). Squeezing on these relieved a lot of the swelling and soreness within a few minutes. Plus, they are handy for use in labor - rather than crunching your coach's hand!

![]() | Valeo Burst Resistant 65cm Body Ball (Green)
Buy new: $16.47 By my third trimester, sitting in a normal desk/office chair would hurt my pelvis and/or back. Exercise balls were recommended by my hospital and several books, so I got one. What a relief! It is very comfortable, helps with the back and pelvic pain, and even helps get baby into position during your final weeks. During labor, the ball can help move baby to engage.

![]() | Tums E-X-Extra Strength Formula, 330 Tablets Tropical Fruit

![]() | Pregnancy for Dummies
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $1.61 My husband didn't want to read my pregnancy books, and I can understand that, they're pretty boring. However, condensing the info into a video was palatable. This DVD comes in 4 lessons - the three trimesters and labor/delivery.

![]() | Due Dads: The Man's Survival Guide to Pregnancy
Buy new: $16.95 / Used from: $3.49 Cute DVD, it had a few laughs for both of us. My husband seemed to find it pretty hilarious, and it shot in some useful info for him in between the laughs!
