Editorial Reviews
About the Author
Bobby Fischer was the first and only American to win the official World Chess Championship. Today many consider him the greatest player of all time.
Customer Reviews
I've been waiting many years for this book!
This book was previously out of print and very difficult to find for many years. The annotations are by Fischer himself and are deeply instructive and entertaining. I play through the games, covering the moves with a card, and try to guess Fischer's next move. If you do this, all phases of your game will improve - the opening, the middlegame, and the endgame. This book is easily one of the best chess books ever printed. If you are serious about chess, you simply must own this classic.
Bobby's classic is back
Until this 2009 Batsford edition, MY 60 MEMORABLE GAMES was the most important chess book of all time that wasn't faithfully reprinted in algebraic notation. Get it for your chess library, even though you've played over every game already!
Quality Book, faithfully reproduced.
I was very happy with the quality of this book. Very impressive. This edition faithfully reproduces the original except for the algabraric notation. This is my first "games collection" book but I certainly feel it was worth the money and I enjoy going over the games and the commentary.
