Cakes, cookies, muffins, and other hot dishes cool quickly and evenly with this Chicago Metallic cooling grid. After cooking, transfer baked delicacies to this cooling rack, which is raised to promote air circulation and prevent sogginess as well as encourage fast cooling. The 16.75-by-12-inch rack fits a standard cookie/jelly roll pan and is large enough to hold several batches of cookies or a quarter sheet cake. The sturdy rack is chrome-plated, and, best of all, it's dishwasher-safe.

Another excellent Chicago Metallic product
Lightweight but sturdy with typically robust Chicago Metallic quality. The legs are adequate, the grid's about 3/8". I expect a lifetime of service from this product. I have yet to purchase any Chicago Metallic product that I have not been 100% satisfied with.
Sturdy, Long Lasting, Versatile, Quality from Chicago Metallic
I already had other products by this vendor and as usual the quality for the value is excellent.
These are wire cooling racks, cooling pretty much anything that is NOT too delicate or that could fall through even these small squares.
Mostly they are for cookies and they certainly won't be falling through!
I also use these to bake bacon in the over as putting this into a jelly roll pan or other lipped sheet pan it can act as a rack to cook bacon, let's the fat drip down and makes for crispier bacon, you can roast vegetables or make potato chips using them.
They are fine in the dishwasher but I end up just doing the larger items in sink with dish soap and water.
Free shipping, no tax and just a good price for a solid product.
Nice rack
I purchased the large non-stick cooling grid, which I have always called a cooling rack, but I'm not here to argue semantics. I'm very fond of Chicago Metallic bakeware so I was pretty sure I would not be disappointed with this cooling rack. Indeed, it is a good size, the non-stick coating makes cleanup easy and the size of the grid works for almost anything that one might bake.
Unfortunately, in my kitchen the new cooling rack had to compete with the two racks I already had. I don't remember what brand the old racks are but they have tighter spacing of the wires and the gauge of the wire is slightly heavier than the Chicago Metallic grids. For this reason, I only gave this rack four stars - it is not quite as heavy-duty as my older cooling racks. Still, unless you are planning on setting a heavy, fully-loaded, cast iron Dutch oven on the grid, it should last a long, long time. Since my cookies aren't that heavy, I don't think that I'll ever need to replace it.
