you can teach an old dog new tricks, but...
i've had the tell bell for about 2 months now. i've been folowing all the protocol for training my dog. i was training 2 dogs, at first, now i'm training just my 6yr old lab mix. i don't know what could be the problem, but he's taken to ringing the bell himself really slow. he's only done it on purpose by himself twice. he seemd to be warming up to it (finally!) but he always wants me to assist him in doing it. i'm trying to be patient and give him time to learn the new habit instead of using his old methods of telling me he has to go, but maybe he's too old. i'll give it a little more time before i abandon the training.
