The mission of Childless Stepmoms is to provide information, referral and support to stepmoms who do not have biological or adopted children of their own. Our goal is to affirm their unique experiences and increase their relationship and parenting skills, positively impacting their role in the family. We will strive to increase awareness and assist in the study of the unique issues these women face. In turn, it is our hope this will decrease discord in the home and help to overcome the staggering odds of second marriage failures, precluding the children involved from experiencingyetanother divorce. Additionally, we hope to influence the legal and social institutions that make decisions regarding families, to recognize the contributions made by steparents and to correct the inequities that these systems foster.
