It works
I was wanting a food mill for a while, and then I found this one. Not a terribly exciting model, but sufficient to say the least, not to mention inexpensive. I use this ALL the time. Whenever I make mashed potatoes, I reach for this thing every time. It's definitely one of my favorite gadgets in the kitchen. Since I know that I'll use a food mill quite often, pretty soon I'd like to get the OXO Food Mill. But if you are unsure that you'll use it often, this is a great starter mill.
Goodbye Food Processor
I wanted something that would puree soups without having to haul out the big food processor and to have to clean up all the fussy pieces afterwards. This is by far simple and easy to use and very simple to clean after use too. I was a little unsure about the size, but when it arrived I was quite amazed that it was larger than it appeared in the picture. I can fit this over my large pot (6 QT) quite comfortably and it sits very securely in place.
The bonus is that it comes with 3 blades and if you like slight chunks in your soup - use the biggest blade, it works great.

This is a great gadget. It does give you a good workout! There are three different blades that will do a variety of textures. Great unit! I recommend it!
