Top-notch in-depth naval simulator
This game got a 97/100 at subsimreview (http://www.subsim.com/ssr/dangerous_waters/dangwater_review_page1.htm), and it certainly deserves it. "Dangerous Waters is the Gold Standard of naval games, by far the most advanced tactical modern naval sim ever created." Yep, that's spot-on.

It's a bit more difficult than I expected. I had gotten very good at 688(I), acing mission after mission. But I've failed most of my missions in Dangerous Waters so far. That's okay, I like a challenge. If you like a challenging, detailed tactical simulation, you really can't go wrong with this, especially at such a low price.

Dangerous Waters
The "jc" stands for Jewel Case. The game just doesnt come in a box like other pc games do. Because the game is just in a jewel case, the first copy I got was damages causing my to have to return it and get another copy. So basically, to get this game in a box will cost you and extra $13.00, or you can just get this version, same game, for only $10.00.

Takes Commitment
As other reviewers have noted this game has a steep learning curve. If you enjoy chess and go and are willing to invest lots of time learning to play you may enjoy it. Should you elect to buy it be sure to Google the title
as their are several helpful sites on the web. In fact you may want to look at the sites before you buy the game. There is no printed manual but there are pdf files.
