This is multi-level thinking, focusing on much more than your own hand strength. Hand selection, tournament strategy, changing gears, bluffing, chip management, aggressive and conservative play, and a lot more discussed. Highly recommended.

The Harrington on Hold em series was an instant classic on no limit hold em tournament play. The first volume is a little conservative and basic, but all three volumes should be a part of your poker library.

Score yourself to determine how great a poker player you are! If you've read the first two volumes, you'll probably be a "world class" player. But since Volume III has by far the most hand examples, it's the most useful of Harrington's three tournament tomes.

Gus Hansen's first poker book is aptly titled: here's every hand he played at a poker tournament from beginning to end. It's interesting how a top poker pro thinks, though the book is marred by poor (non-existent?) editing -- I can't blame him, since it's his second language though I can blame his publisher. Still, for the low low price this is an excellent value!
