***** Love the worksheets-- great way to instill grammar as an addition to the in-class text. Explanation and clear examples on one page with practice exercises on the next.

**** Games always make lessons more effective and memorable. As the title says, it's great for your younger or beginner students. Four stars only because the Communication Games series is a little better.

***** I've been using Comm Games series for many years and if I were to choose one games series, this would be it. Short prep time, game cards, easy instructions, many games adaptable for different sizes of groups. Can even adapt some games for your own needs, making 2x as useful. British English, so you can also introduce British/American vocab equivalents & point out the different spellings.

****+ For intermediate and advanced students, these discussion books provide so many interesting topics, questions, and situations that just don't come up in regular texts. I've used these a lot for "breaks" between book lessons, and with students who don't want to use textbooks, are too advanced, or want to focus on fluency.

**** Take advantage of anything copyable! When you're in need of something extra, and quickly, these are lifesavers. Students love anything that's a change from the usual required text.

*** Lots of useful ideas. Excellent for when you're really stuck, but only three stars because it takes more time to sort through, is not copyable, is not as interactive as games with cards. That said, most activities don't require extra materials-- just the white board and a little creativity.

**** Another great one for more advanced students, especially if they are creative and outgoing. So many possibilities to build on.

**** This book does teach riddles, but there are also lots of idioms. You can teach students the concept of "puns" and even teach them to make their own riddles, which makes for a really fun, lively class.

***** This gets five stars because it's by far the favorite of my business students. They enjoy it because they are real cases from real companies, so the lessons seem much more pertinent to real life. It's definitely better for advanced students who already have a good grammar/vocab foundation. My students in marketing, sales, and CEO-type positions enjoyed it the most.

**** This provides good discussion/argument fodder for your more advanced business students.

*** Not super fun, but useful, especially for your more serious/studious students.
