BEST BIBLE EVER TRANSLATED
I have owned this Bible for years. I purchased these two copies as gifts. If you are new to the Bible or a devoted reader this one has great notes and study information. It is written in a language that is easy to understand. It is the BEST!!!!!

Excellent product
This item reduces my time reading the bible into half! I have learnt more within the last 2 months of having this bible than what I have learnt in the last 2 years with the King James version

Good study helps, translation could be better
The study helps are good. The translation is OK. The New Living Translation (2nd edition, published in 2005) is a better one than NIV (last updated in 1984). If you can afford it, buy both Life Application Study Bible with New Living Translation (NLT 2nd edition) and NIV Faith in Action Study Bile. The former focuses more on individual verses, while the latter focuses more on the overall message of each chapter and book of the Bible, which most people tend to ignore.
